Citroen XM.. The car I've always wanted since I was a kid. I never thought it would be possible to even sit in one. In the 90s, the XM was THE CAR. There were a number of XMs on Kuala Lumpur roads back then although alot less than BXs. Today very few exists, majority being the 2.0 injection model. Most V6 models did not survive but fortunately there are a few very good condition units around.
I got my first Citroen XM in late 2008. The condition was very bad and needed alot to do so I sold it July last year. My hope of having a good XM seemed like a faraway dream but........ I was wrong!!
Saw an ad in a local website advertising an XM For Sale. The car was located in Kuantan(2 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur). So I planned a trip to see if the car was any good. Again, my wonderful fiance followed me in case if I were to buy the car I could bring both cars back. Long story short, we saw, drove ,smiled and paid. The car was in good condition. The picture above shows both cars at the Kuantan gas station getting ready to blast back to KL.
Merry Christmas everybody.(26/12/2010) Busy morning but I had the afternoon to my XM! Really happy I managed to get some stuff done.
As we know, the XM has lots of wires running here and there and its best to keep them tidy.
This picture shows some untidy wires and being exposed like this it is always in danger of rats chewing on them causing more harm and headache. So a simple solution will be to get the wires in plastic protectors(whatever they're called). Good news is they're cheap and easily available.
So I started cleaning the wires and found some bitten wires. Yikes!! Wrapped and got them into the protectors. It seemed like an easy job at first but it took me a few hours to get everything cleaned and wrapped
